Dog Friendly Luxury Cottages Whitby
After long deliberations we have decided to make all of our luxury cottages and retreats dog friendly. We absolutely adore dogs and we know some of our guests have been disappointed when all of our dog friendly cottages are booked up so they are unable to bring their dogs with them.
We are also respectful that many of our guests don’t have dogs, so don’t want to know that a dog may have stayed at the cottage before them. For this reason as well as our house rules for dogs, our cleaning standards are superbly high, so you won’t be able to tell a dog has stayed before you.
As dog owners ourselves, we understand that you want to bring your dog on holiday with you, and we are delighted to welcome them (they even get their own doggy welcome pack!). We have decided to make all our cottages and retreats dog friendly, so if you want to bring your trusted ‘friend’ on holiday with you, you can.

Dogs are very welcome at Unique Retreats
We are very happy to welcome well behaved dogs (and their well behaved owners) to Unique Retreats, but for the sake of peaceful coexistence and a happy holiday for all, we would ask that you follow a few simple rules, and remember that taking a holiday with your dog isn’t the same as taking a holiday from your responsibilities as a dog owner. That way we can keep our 5* gold cottages both dog-friendly and 5* gold
We have holiday dog tags for your use if you are concerned your dog may run off on the beach or elsewhere (if your own phone number is on your dog’s tag, you won’t be at home to answer it!)
