October Seaside Vintage Fair

Following a successful seventh Great Seaside Vintage Fair at Whitby Pavilion in July, Rose & Brown Vintage are returning to Whitby with the October Seaside Vintage Fair on 7 and 8 October 2017.

Organiser Caroline Brown from Rose & Brown Vintage says, “Established in 2011 these seaside events are a ‘vintage fair with a sea view’, held in the lovely coastal town of Whitby and lasting a whole weekend, they are popular with stallholders and customers alike.

The Fair features 50 stalls in Whitby Pavilion’s Northern Lights Suite, which is perched above the beach and has enormous round windows looking out to sea. The magical atmosphere of Whitby really adds to the buzz and vibrancy of these fairs, and each time we put together a diverse, quality mix of stallholders that really works in this setting.

There will be stock ranging from Edwardian fashion to 1980’s jewellery and all the frocks, hats and handbags in between, plus mid-Century to industrial furniture, toys, haberdashery, homewares and so much more. This year, amongst the 50 stalls we have included a very popular specialist menswear stall, a vintage vinyl stall (and a record player/radio stall), and stalls specialising in French decorative vintage and antiques, so we do go even earlier than the 1920’s but never later than the 1980’s. It’s an event that covers the whole spectrum of genuine vintage and because it’s both days of the weekend it means you can really soak up the seaside atmosphere and spend proper time hunting the fair for exciting vintage finds.

It’s an extra excuse to spend a day (or two) in Whitby if you live further afield, and it’s a lovely event which celebrates its beautiful setting, and offers fun vintage bargains for your home or wardrobe if you’re lucky enough to be more local.”
