“New Year Treat
We had yet another lovely stay in this stunning property. The Piggery is so welcoming and cosy. There is a roaring fire in the grate, homemade bread and fresh coffee waiting and lovely squidgy sofas to sink into to drink in both the coffee and the view! The cottage is sympathetically and tastefully decorated and furnished with many fantastic touches such as picnic-ware, wellies and even a drinks cabinet with an honesty box. We have been going to The Piggery for many years (probably about 15 years) and it really is like going home. Thank you Joe and Geoff!”

Lovely Cottage in a great Location
The cottage was absolutely lovely. The extra touches from the welcome hamper, dog hampers and helpful suggestions for places to visit or go to for food were wonderful and much appreciated.

COWSLIP COTTAGE
What more can I say other than Cowslip Cottage is an excellent place to enjoy North Yorkshire
Sleights is a beautiful part of the country and our stay in the Cowslip Cottage more than enhanced our holiday. This has been our second stay in Cowslip Cottage and hope to spend many more times there in the future.

EWELANDS RETREAT
Country Escape
Yet again we thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Ewelands Retreat. An ideal bolt hole to explore the countryside and nearby towns and of course Whitby.
Joe & Geoff are excellent hosts and to be greeted with freshly baked bread together with the fabulous ‘Welcome Hamper’ is an absolute bonus.
Ewelands Retreat is equipped with everything you could ask for and all of the high tec gadgets is a massive plus.
We will of course return and we definitely won’t leave it as long as this past visit.
We have purchased gift vouchers in the past for family events such as Wedding Gift and Wedding Anniversary- an ideal present and welcomed by the recipients.
Thank you again for a most enjoyable stay and goes without saying that we will recommend Ewelands Retreat to others.

COWSLIP RETREAT
Perfect tonic at this oasis of calm
We have stayed here once or twice every year and Joe and Geoff have created a beautiful experience where everything has been thought of (even tags for the dog’s collar). The Cowslip Retreat was just what we needed, thank-you.
